Giuliana Rancic Breast Cancer Found

For E! News host Giuliana Rancic, breast cancer was not what she was expecting to find when she went in for a third round of in vitro fertilization. Rancic has attempted to get pregnant by IVF twice before, but plans for a baby will now have to be put on hold due to her breast cancer diagnosis.

Guiliana Rancic, married to the original The Apprentice winner Bill Rancic, announced she has been diagnosed with early stage breast cancer on The Today Show on Monday. The cancer was discovered after a doctor insisted 36-year-old Rancic have a mammogram before undergoing another round of fertility treatments.

He said, ‘I will not get you pregnant’” without checking for breast cancer “‘because if you get pregnant it will accelerate the cancer, all the hormones will accelerate the cancer,’” Rancic said. She had not planned on having a mammogram until the recommended age of 40.
