Barbie Fashion Show 2009 Collection

Runway Photography: Thomas Iannaccone/WWD

I’m sure by now you’ve all watched the Barbie Fashion Show 2009 Collection finale on my blog, if not you should its so good! Luckily I didn’t have to wait to get in because I heard there were 100s of people locked out, even if you had an invite it didn’t mean you’re getting in. The line to get check-in and get into the show was horrendous, it was the longest and craziest I’ve seen so far. After I got in, I’ve been Twittering like mad once I entered the Tent, I spotted Diane von Furstenberg, Kimora Lee Simmons and Djimon Hounsou, Simon Doonan, Sarah Colette (so good to see you again), J. Alexander (Miss Jay) and Tarina Tarantino (so nice to meet you!)! Even though I was sitting second row the pics didn’t come out that good, the lighting was pink and the models were too fast I was also too distracted from the show haha. But I didn’t forget to shoot my finale video, that part is essential! By far one of the best shows, Barbie’s first fashion show was a blast, it was the most energetic and fun show I’ve attended. It was lots of fun during the show and after in the backstage watching models peeling off hot pink press on nails and removing extreme eye makeup- hey being “plastic” is not that easy. Each guest received a Barbie doll, a box of chocolate and a Barbie book, all my Barbie memories came back- I used to own about 10 Barbies but gave all to my cousins as I got older.

And let me know which was your favorite look(s). And not to forget to mention the fabulous Barbie PINK Christian Louboutins, they were to eye candy!

Look Great in Fashion Clothes Like a Maxi Dress

Summer Floral Maxi Dress
Fashion clothes are circulating the fashion industry like moths to a light. Every season there are always the latest fashion trends and styles. This year, maxi dresses have caught the taste of many celebrities and famous personalities. A maxi dress can be worn on every occasion and every woman can feel glamorous and feminine in a versatile maxi dress. Whether you are skinny or short, willowy or wide and no matter what your frame is, you can wear a maxi dress with careful selection of fashion and styles. You can find maxi dresses in most Miami womens clothing store.

Here are ways on how to wear a maxi dress:
  • First things first, buy a maxi dress with a style that has the right length for your height. Wearing overly long hemline can take inches off your height that would make you look short.
  • Make sure you match your dress with heels that would give you enough height to make you look feminine and glamorous instead of lumpy and large. Wedge heals and patent platforms are great for this season.
  • Accessorized your overall look with over sized bags, a headscarf, long, chunky jewelry, panama hat and large shades for a real L.A. celebrity look.
  • If you are conscious about your stomach, consider an empire line. The cut focuses on the breasts with the fabric falling just beneath them. The flowing skirt will act as a tent without hiding your entire figure.
  • According to the Pantone Report for Spring 2008, a fashion must-have is a lime green maxi dress.
  • If you want a figure-flattering and true celeb style, go for Lyndsey Lohan-style tiered color block maxi dress.
  • Wearing a well-cut back maxi dress can bring out sex appeal and sophistication.
  • If you are bulky around the middle, avoid gathered waists.

Strapless Floral Romper
  • When wearing a maxi dress, make sure it skims rather than cling especially if you are big breasted or trying to hide flab.
  • If you have saved you old Laura Ashley prints and flowing skirts from your closet and reinvent them with accessories with this year’s colors.
  • Wear maxi dresses with this season’s colors like Cantaloupe, Freesia and Spring Crocus.
  • Be creative. If you are very short, purchase elasticated waist, super-ling Boho skirt and cover your chest with a cropped cardigan.
  • You can stop a long, full skirt from swamping you by adding a fitted waistcoat on the top.
  • Over accessorizing you maxi dress with a belt will ruin the line of the dress.
  • If you are curvy, don’t wear small floral patterns but rather opt for block-colors larger prints.
  • If you want to hide your lumps and bumps, choose darker colors since they disguise flab.
  • Never team you maxi dresses with cowboy boots. This is so last season.
  • Don’t be afraid to wear you maxi dress casually. Maxi dresses are no longer just for dressing up in evenings.

The Milan Fashion Show

Milan is one of the top fashion capitals of the world and every year the city hosts sought after fashion shows that celebrities and famous people would go to. Runway fashion shows have always been the toast of every famous designers from all over the world. Recently, top names Gucci, Versace and Giorgio Armani gave their autumn/winter 2010-2011 runway show in Milan and as usual it won wide praises for their lines.
Last 2008, The Milan Fashion Week was the haunt of the best designers from all over the world and this was certainly something to look forward to. The special attraction of that year’s fashion show was the menswear collection from the Milan Spring and Summer Collection. This show definitely turned heads and captured the hearts of many audiences.
The Fashion Week kicked off due to the much awaited fashion line of Dolce & Gabbana. During that year, the brand’s inspiration was centered on the Oriental. The designer had their models walk in the ramp wearing evening silk pajamas, borrowing the concept of japans Kimonos. Other eye catchers were the Dragon and Butterfly printed robes that ranged from hues of ivory, black, sepia, white and grey.
Dolce & Gabbana portrayed in one of its shows “the relaxed lifestyle of the modern man.” The runway show showcased a collection of casual and smart evening jackets coupled with black shorts. This dress code was teamed up with sneakers made of mixed and authentic leather. Another theme that the designer portrayed was something called “Wild.” Models did their catwalk carrying double-handles bags as their accessories and they were wearing sandals made of panther, eel and crocodile hides.
As mentioned earlier, the Milan Fashion Week is an exhibit of all the stylish and trendiest fashion clothes that the fashion industry can offer. Famous fashion house Burberry Prorsum’s designer Christopher Bailey was also highlighted during the fashion week. He created a wonderful line of Crumpled Classics Collection that was inspired by the garden. This collection comprised with crumpled coats, shirts, jackets and hats. For accessories, panama gardening hats, large leather totes and checked canvas were used.
Of course designer Donatella Versace of Versace designer wear refused to be left behind. He exhibited a brand new collection described as “formal attitude “Informal mindset.” Models were dressed in rolled-up sleeves, squared off shirt hems, slim wide trousers, thin light-colored silk scarves for ties and sunglasses with catchy rims.
The Milan Fashion Week lasted till June 24, 2008 with its reputation still intact. More than forty top-rated designers from all over the world displayed their collections, setting the ramp on fire.

How to Choose the Latest in Women’s Fashion

Probably the most popular category in the fashion industry is women fashion. A lot of news about the latest in women’s fashion is coming in from the international runways. To have a clear view of the things to look for, here are a few tips.
  • For this season, expect to see a lot of neon and bright colors. Blacks and pinks are still in style from last year.
  • Ruffles are back this year especially ruffles in tier. Short jackets are to add layers or they are worn to create a layer.
  • Lots of fashion jewelries are seen on the runway decorating fabrics. They are usually applied to fabrics or part of a fabric design.
  • Bold accessories can add a statement to any look. This year, big crafted looking jewelry is eye-catching.
  • A blast from the past is leather. Aside from that, environmentally friendly materials that look like leather are making a statement in fashion for this year.
  • When it comes to skirts, the rage is plain pencil skirts or draped with ruffles.
  • This year, shoes are not delicate since spiked heels are now being combined with laces and enclosed foot look to give out a bolder look.
  • Some clothing lines create themes that surround on historical flavors like retro.
This year has been considered to be a flamboyant and versatile year for fashion. All pieces that make up a look are all key elements to bring out a fashion statement. When it comes to women’s fashion, here are the quintessential pieces for this season:
  • Bags- Handbags have replaced huge handbags. Smaller bags are sexier and eye-catching colors like neutral are worth a steal. For this year, bags that come in different texture like leather to skin and interesting patterns are all the rage this year.
  • Belts- Belts are now considered an essential must-have. Perhaps every season, belts with different shapes, widths and textures are popping out anywhere. In fact, this single piece can pull-off an outfit.
  • Sunglasses- This piece can now be worn depending on the shape of the face. As long as you know what frames will look good on your face, this is a great addition to the whole look.
  • Footwear- Of course who can forget shoes. For this season, the footwear has to be something with a wooden feel. It is sleeker than silhouettes with a pointed heel. Wedge heels are also in this year, not only are they fashionable they are trendy as well. Wooden footwear can be worn with anything ranging from jeans, miniskirts and frocks. But if by any chance you can’t let go of your heels, go for higher heel since this will take you to newer heights. This can be safe when it comes to keeping up with the latest trends. But remember they are not the “in” things, chunky heels known as pumps can be worn with anything even formal attires.

Top fashion model Aida Yespica biography and photos

The fact that she can't speak English won't impede her progress in the future because looks like Aida's constitute a universal language all their own.

Birth Name: Aida Yespica (Top fashion model, supermodel, sexy fashion model, bikini model)
Date of Birth: July 15, 1982
Birthplace: Caracas, Venezuela
Top+fashion+model+Aida+Yespica
Top fashion model Aida Yespica

 What makes her so Famous?
Certainly best known for wearing the crown as Miss Amazonia 2002, Aida Yespica has embarked on a lucrative modeling career. The stunning calendars and modeling gigs have already mounted for this international beauty with unlimited potential. She's rapidly received some well-deserved recognition on the internet as well, and with her drool-worthy curves and exotic allure, she?s destined to move up the popularity charts.

Why we adore her..., as we do?
Aida?s flawless figure, smoldering dark eyes, amazing skin, and fiery south-of-the-equator panache give her an unforgettable look. In fact, she is exactly what you'd get if you created a bewitching cross between Jessica Biel, Lucy Liu and Salma Hayek. Whether she's female model a string bikini or an evening gown, Aida makes us all want to visit Venezuela.

Biography
Aida Yespica was born on July 15, 1982, in Caracas, Venezuela. Her knockout good looks quickly opened several doors for her, and it's pretty clear she's in it for the long haul. And with a body like that, who can blame her? It wasn't long before she entered the industry that she started working on Venezuelan television and modeling all over South America.

Since she burst onto the scene, her biggest accomplishment has certainly been winning the Miss Amazonia pageant in 2002, which is the achievement of a lifetime for a would-be model. Immediately after waltzing into the limelight with that enviable title, would-be quickly blossomed into prominent. Aida modeled for Nissan, Braun and Ras, and even walked the sexy catwalk for Ferre and Pearl.

Her ambitions include both modeling and acting, and if history is any indication, the U.S. and Europe never ignore the spellbinding exoticism produced by the South American modeling industry.

It may be slightly depressing for all roving bachelors out there, but she's engaged to Deejay Francesco, an Italian writer and singer. However, she clearly has no qualms about nude modeling, so we're very happy -- for them and for us.

Top Fashion Model Spotlight: Jessica Stam

jessica_stam
This blonde haired blue eyed soon to be 21-year-old Canadian model was discovered at age 16 at a restaurant in Ontario by an agent for International Model Management and later went on to win the Los Angeles Model Look Search. She has quickly become a name you will often hear mentioned by anyone discussing a top ten list of models, which is no surprise when she has had a spectacular start to her modeling career. Stam, which is also the nickname she is known by, lit up her career when she was placed on the cover of German Vogue. Since then she has appeared in ad campaigns for Marc Jacobs, Anna Sui, Vera Wang, Atsuro Tayama, Cerruti Jeans,Valentino, Miu Miu, Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, Holt Renfrew, BCBG, and Banila B. Marc Jacobs has even created a handbag and named it the Stam Bag in her honor.
Stam is a beauty whose face and body can convert to any fashion vice without looking out of place. Despite participation in such high profile ad campaigns, she remains well grounded and certainly not full of herself. This down to earth quality makes her all the more attractive considering that most supermodels attain a diva attitude when they are in such demand.
Stam will continue to strut the runway until her gorgeous piercing blue eyes go out of style. The fact that she lives in New York City (one of the Mecca’s of modeling) and is represented by IMG (who represents a majority of the women and men we call supermodels), I have a feeling she has a long modeling career ahead of her.

Top Model Trend: Bleach Blonde Hair...Vlada Rosylakova (Women Model Management)

Just a few days ago I was standing outside the casting for the Marc Jacobs show and my friend Dree Hemingway (cover Russian Vogue, Gucci campaign, LOVE editorial) walked by with her bleach blonde hair. Yesterday and just one post below, you can see the worlds #1 model Raquel Zimmerman in bleach blonde hair. And in this post today you can see Women Model Management icon Vlada with her bleach blonde hair.

Recently, Patrick Demarchelier shot a spread of like 15 girls for Fashion Night Out in which Raquel had bleach blonde hair so I'm not saying this is the first time any of these girls have worn their hair color as such. It is however interesting to note how pervasive bleach blonde hair is at the current moment among top models
